When it comes to reading the Bible, 17-year-old Blake Strozier is a champ.
The Antioch Baptist Church youth leader brought home the first-place trophy in the National Baptist Convention's Junior National Bible Bowl by correctly answering such questions as:
- What was the name of Jesus' brother?
- What king was allowed to build the temple in Jerusalem?
- What city did the Israelites have to conquer to enter the Promised Land?
And answer them fast.
Like contestants on "Jeopardy," the young competitors hit buzzers if they thought they knew the answers.
Strozier was declared the winner after correctly identifying "who will come back for the church."
"Everyone buzzed in and said God, and it was Jesus," Strozier said. It was the last of "about 16" answers he had supplied.

National Bible Champion Crowned
The longer this site is active, the more amazed I am at how many different kinds of Bible Quizzing are out there. This week the National Bible Champion was crowned in Flint Michigan. This kind of quizzing is not about Bible memory, but about Bible factual knowledge. I suspect most quizzers I know would do very well at this one.
