STUDY RESOURCES: Online Audio Bible

You can download the MP3s that we provide, but sometimes it is useful to hear the same material in different voices.  One such tool in your belt should be the Online Audio Bible.  This Bible was specifically made for those who learn better by hearing than by reading, and offers every book of the Bible read aloud for free.

We've talked about Dallas, PA, and Camp Orchard Hill, so now let's talk a bit about our hosting church - Fellowship Evangelical Free Church.

THIS WEEK: Review *ALL* of Romans & James

This week (March 20 thru March 26), please review all of Romans andJames.

For resources on past chapters, click below:
Study Tip:  This is the last week to study.  If you don't know the material by now, you've got a long row to hoe before next Saturday.  So, let's keep this simple.  If you haven't yet, pull out the Finish-The-Verse list and start studying.  Don't worry about getting them word-perfect if memorization isn't your thing.  But these are key verses which will show up repeatedly in the quizzes, and which will have a huge impact on your life afterwards if you put them into your heart.  Invest wisely, my friends.

DISTRICTS: Dallas, PA

We're going to Dallas, PA for Districts this year. It will be the visit visit for most or all of us.  So what are some interesting facts about the town?
Dallas is a borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,804 at the 2010 census. It was created by a charter granted April 21, 1879, from land entirely within Dallas Township. The township had been formed in 1817 and was named for Alexander J. Dallas, who was the 6th United States Secretary of the Treasury and the father of George M. Dallas, the vice president of James Polk.
The town's most famous son is Greg Manusky, former NFL player and current coach.

STUDY TIPS: Cramming effectively

The best advice for studying is always, "Don't leave it to the last minute!"  But every year, there are a few people who come right up to Districts unprepared, facing an epic cram session before quizzes begin.  If you want to cram effectively, this article may be a big help.

You still have a little more than two weeks before Districts, so if you think you can organize your time to study, do so.  But if not, a little cramming is a whole lot better than nothing.

STUDY TIPS: Learning the Material

It's review time.  Of course, it is best to have already done your best studying, but if there are still areas where you're feeling weak in Romans or James, here are some tips on studying and reviewing.
According to Dr. Higbee, the study skills you should be using are:
  • Reduce Interference
  • Space It Out
  • Use Whole and Part Learning
  • Recite It
  • Use a Study System

The cost to stay will be $10/person.  But for that price, the whole Bible Quizzing group will be staying together and be able to use the facilities on Friday night.
