Bible Knowledge Test Scoreboard

The Bible Knowledge Test is a non-binding written test of your knowledge of the Quiz Team Books. Only a few of us chose to take it at Districts this year.

High scores for Upper was taken by Quizzers from Essex Fells and Lancaster with a score of 100. High score for Lower was taken by an Essex Fells Quizzer with a score of 101. For more information, see the coaches next Wednesday.

Study Tip: You've been reading thru the chapters individually, but do you really understand the overall structure of the books? Paul is not presenting isolated thoughts here, but an integrated letter which addresses specific issues and arguments. Take a moment this week to outline the chapters you are reading or make use of outlines provided by others (1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians).

Study Tip: Districts is over. Now begins the sprint to Nationals. What do you do when learning new material is done, and you're reviewing week after week? GET CREATIVE! Look for ways to make the material new and fresh by seeing it in new ways. For example, consider turning the questions around by playing "Jeopardy" - look at the answer and try to guess the question. Obviously, this is done best with the help of other quizzers or family members.

Congrats and Future Plans

Congratulations, Quizzers! Upper Division did a great job, winning First Place, and Lower Division showed character and fortitude even if the results didn't reflect how hard you have worked. We're proud of you all. In recognition of all the hard work, we're taking a week off to rest, relax, and depressurize. Remember, even God rested on the 7th day!

Next, we'll turn to the future and start thinking about the run-up to Nationals. Keep your eyes on this blog for more news on the schedule between now and July, coming soon.

We'll be attending the Hershey Church today in the morning, having a fast-food style lunch, and will be home in the late afternoon/early evening. The teens will be able to call parents from the road when we are about an hour away.
