Interesting that Pastor John made mention of Romans 1 in this week's sermon. Paul, I believe, in writing to the church of Rome condemns mankind for revering created beings over the creator. This last weekend the family and I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and witnessed this first hand. In the Egyptian exhibit there were many statues of deities and they were made to look like hybrids between men and animals. Genesis teaches that God created man in His own image but man has since created god in his own image.
