Districts - our FINAL Bible Quiz Meet of the year - is coming up Saturday, April 23 in Cresskill, NJ.  Mark your calendars and be sure to keep the date clear!

REMINDER: Bluefish Game has been cancelled

Tonight's trip to the game has been cancelled due to weather.  Keep an eye out for a replacement event.

Don't forget that our year-end Bible Quizzing Event is Monday at the Bridgeport Bluefish!  We're meeting at 6:30 PM to buy the ticket (about $10 each) and go in together.  Bring some extra money to buy dinner and any souvenirs you may want.  It's Trumbull and Monroe together!

DISTRICTS: See you at the Van!

We're meeting at the church at 3:30 PM tonight to leave for Districts in Dallas, PA.  Please arrive a little early, if possible, so we can pack and be ready to go promptly.

We'll be picking up the Monroe Team on the way, and stopping at Chipotle for dinner.  Once we arrive, we'll hang out in the camp gym until bedtime at 10 PM.

DISTRICTS: What do I pack?

We leave for Districts tomorrow afternoon.  If you're going to be packing today/tonight, here is a good list to use as you fill your duffle bag.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT FORGET:

• Either money for dinner Friday at Chipotle or a bag dinner
• Sleeping gear for Friday night (sleeping bag, pillow, etc.)
• Your Quiz Team shirt
• Long Pants for Saturday quizzing (you can change into shorts after quizzing is done)

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOUR SUITCASE:

• A warm/rain jacket for Friday night (Low of 45 with rain predicted overnight)
• Study materials including your scripture portion
• Toiletries (warm showers will be available)
• An alarm clock (or multifunction device with an alarm app)

If possible, please pack in a soft suitcase for maximum packing flexibility.

Districts is coming up next Friday (April 17) and Saturday (April 18).  Now is the time to start working down your checklist:

• Have you given Coach Jim your annual Bible Quizzing Fee?  (If you were at Midwinter, yes.)
• Is your Trumbull Team Shirt clean?
• Do you have a sleeping bag for the overnight at camp?
• Do you have a "study packet" to cram with Friday night?
• Have you confirmed to Coach Jim that you are (or are not) coming?

Tonight we begin Daylight Savings Time, and "Spring" forward an hour.  Set your clocks ahead so you don't arrive at church at the wrong time tomorrow!

REMINDER: Midwinter is TOMORROW

Midwinter Quiz Meet is tomorrow!  Don't miss out.  Here are a few quick reminders.

ARRIVAL TIME:  8:30 AM to help with setup
START TIME:  9:00 AM
COST: $5 for pizza, $15 registration fee
COVERS:  Acts 1-16
END TIME:  ~1:30 PM

DISTRICTS: Friday Details

Please remember these important details:

• We leave the church at 3 PM.
• We’ll arrive at Camp Orchard Hill around 8:00 PM.
• We’ll be able to play in the gym, but must be in our cabins by 10:30 PM.

And, of course, please double-check your packing list:

• Quiz Team shirt and long pants for Saturday
• A sleeping bag and pillow for the camp
• $10 for dinner on the way down
• $10 to stay in camp
• Any study materials you need
• Toiletries and a towel

MIDWINTER IS TOMORROW!

We leave for Midwinter bright and early tomorrow morning (or this time of year, dark and painfully early).  Please keep in mind these key details:

• We're leaving the church at 6:30 AM sharp.  Please arrive a few minutes early to load into the bus.
• Bring $15 for your Bible Quizzing registration fee.  (Covers materials and meals at Midwinter/Districts.)
• Wear your Bible Quiz Team shirt!  (But feel free to wear something warm underneath and/or bring a removable jacket/sweater to wear on top.  It is Midwinter after all!)
• Be ready to quiz on all of Romans.

With the late Christmas party, your family may have lost track of how quickly Midwinter is coming up on us.  It is next weekend - January 25!  Make sure the date is on your calendar and that your parents are fully aware.  If you have any questions, bring them to practice tonight!
