Tonight is our last practice of the season!

Tonight is the LAST practice of the 2015-2016 season.  This is your last chance to cram before Districts.  Take a moment to consider what you know and what you still need to learn for success.

SCHEDULE: DISTRICTS IS SATURDAY!

Districts is this Saturday, April 23!  Are you ready?

• Is your team shirt clean?
• Do you know where your scripture portion is?
• Are you ready with an outfit that DOES NOT include shorts?  (Feel free to change for the ride home.)
• Do you have material to practice on the ride down?  (Questions, MP3s of the books, etc.)

Congratulations on Second Place at Districts

Congratulations on your second place finish at Districts.  Practices are over for the season, but we'll be in touch in the late summer on plans for next year.

DISTRICTS: Today's Schedule

Parents, This is our rough schedule for today.  You can check back here during the day for regular photo updates of our progress.

• 6:15am - Rise and shine, personal hygiene, pickup cabin, check-out
• 7:15am - Leave for Dallas EFC,  45 Hildebrandt Rd, Dallas, PA 18612, 570.675.6426
• 7:30am - Breakfast
• 8:30am - Devotions
• 9am - 11:30am - Quizzing, Short break, tiebreaker round (if needed) and Bible Knowledge Test
• 12:30pm - Lunch
• 1:30pm - Worship/closing/presentations
• 2:30pm - Leave for Home
• 4pm - Bathroom break, snack, gas
• 6pm - Arrive at Calvary EFC

DISTRICTS: See you at the Van!

We're meeting at the church at 3:30 PM tonight to leave for Districts in Dallas, PA.  Please arrive a little early, if possible, so we can pack and be ready to go promptly.

We'll be picking up the Monroe Team on the way, and stopping at Chipotle for dinner.  Once we arrive, we'll hang out in the camp gym until bedtime at 10 PM.

DISTRICTS: What do I pack?

We leave for Districts tomorrow afternoon.  If you're going to be packing today/tonight, here is a good list to use as you fill your duffle bag.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT FORGET:

• Either money for dinner Friday at Chipotle or a bag dinner
• Sleeping gear for Friday night (sleeping bag, pillow, etc.)
• Your Quiz Team shirt
• Long Pants for Saturday quizzing (you can change into shorts after quizzing is done)

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOUR SUITCASE:

• A warm/rain jacket for Friday night (Low of 45 with rain predicted overnight)
• Study materials including your scripture portion
• Toiletries (warm showers will be available)
• An alarm clock (or multifunction device with an alarm app)

If possible, please pack in a soft suitcase for maximum packing flexibility.

REMINDER: Have you decided on Districts?

Remember, Districts is this weekend and the coaches need to know ASAP if you are coming.  If you've not yet made the decision, check with your parents so you can walk thru the door tomorrow with a plan.  Also make sure you have turned in your Health and Event Forms, so that you have all the necessary paperwork to travel!

REMINDER: DISTRICTS IS COMING!

Districts is coming up next Friday (April 17) and Saturday (April 18).  Now is the time to start working down your checklist:

• Have you given Coach Jim your annual Bible Quizzing Fee?  (If you were at Midwinter, yes.)
• Is your Trumbull Team Shirt clean?
• Do you have a sleeping bag for the overnight at camp?
• Do you have a "study packet" to cram with Friday night?
• Have you confirmed to Coach Jim that you are (or are not) coming?

The Bible Knowledge Test is an opportunity to show just how much you learned over the course of the year, without having to worry about anyone else competing against you.  It is an invaluable opportunity to challenge yourself without anyone else looking over your shoulder.
