This week (April 12 to April 18), please review Hebrews, 1 Peter, & 2 Peter.
Study Tip: This is it. The last week of practice before Districts. Districts is our last quiz meet of the year. It is your last chance to make a difference for your team. Take this week and really try to drive home the material you have missed. If you're weak on too much material to review this week, pick a specific part to focus on: Hebrews, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, Finish-the-Verse questions, References, etc. Do your best to be a competitor at Districts, not just a spectator!
Seating for Districts will be set by scores. Keep your eyes here in the next few days for the "final" Scoreboard.

WEEK 28: Review 1 Peter 1-5

Study Tip: We're now in the season of Lent, when Christians celebrate the weeks before Jesus's death on the cross and resurrection from the dead. It is traditional at this time among some Christians to give up something, in order share in some small way with Christ's suffering. If you're still unable to find time to study, perhaps you might choose something to give up for Lent (maybe a favorite TV program) to provide more time to spend in the scriptures.

Study Tip: Do read through the text of scripture and find at the end that you know barely more than you did at the beginning? Do you envy those who can read it once, and be able to quiz effectively? Different people learn in different ways. Some people can do it by simply reading, others by listening. But you may be a learner who needs to really engage the text. Consider taking notes as you read - note down really interesting sections, questions that the text raises, notable phrases, etc. At the end, you will have applied not only your eyes but all the parts of your brain, and the learning may very well be far more effective. Oh, and don't forget to call, e-mail, or speak to the coaches, your parents, or the pastors to get the answers to those questions you had.

- No February Quiz Meet
- March 10, Quiz Meet in Cresskill, NJ

Who was 1 Peter written to?
1 Peter 1:1: "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God’s elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,"
As you were reading that verse, did you find yourself wondering where those places were? Here a relatively simple map of the region the Apostle Peter was writing to. To give you a sense of where this is in relation to current maps, this whole area is modern-day Turkey, and Greece is just off the map to the left. (The arrows show a probable route the letter would have followed, as it was distributed through the region to the churches.e
