"Bible" marketing can go too far

Sometimes as Christians, we can be tempted to embrace every new fad which is "Bible-based" in order to show our allegiance to our faith. But sometimes marketers simple glom onto a "Bible-based" theme in order to sell things to well-meaning but gullible Christians. Consider "The Bible Bar".
The Bible Bar is a highly nutritious, all natural whole food bar based on the seven foods which the LORD calls "good" in the Book of Deuteronomy... Please note how, in this scripture, God uses these specific foods to describe the goodness of the Promised Land. We at Logia believe that God had a very important reason for singling out these seven foods. That’s why we sought a way to offer them to the public in a convenient, all-inclusive food product and that’s how the Bible Bar came about.
Don't get me wrong, for all I know this is a fine product. But as intelligent Christians we need to be mindful of people looking to take advantage of our love of the Lord and His Word. "Caveat emptor" (buyer beware) is always good advice, especially when someone tries to imply "any real Christian will buy my product."
