GETTING READY: Free ESV Apps for iPhone & Android

We've discussed a few times that EFCA Bible Quizzing is switching to the English Standard Version (ESV) for the 2013-2014 season.  (If you need background on why, e-mail the coaches or ask us on Sunday sometime.) Last week, we talked about getting a free copy for Kindle.  But that's not your only option!

COOL TOOLS: Timer from AppCubby

We don't talk about it much, but one of the most important parts of any quiz is actually the timer. That little wristwatch, stopwatch, or wall clock is the tyrant that decides whether your brilliant answer counts for points or not. So, it is important to have the right timer around to quickly count off 10, 30, or 45 seconds. If you have an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), one such tool might be the app "Timer" from App Cubby. It allows to set up a series of preset timers and have them count down at a tap. Plus, you can set a fun or weird sound to go off when the timer is done. It's 99 cents in the App Store.
