Study Tip: We're still a few weeks off from the return of Bible Quizzing, but the Christmas season can be an excellent time to find relevance in the words you read.  As you study this week, take the time to reflect on how the coming of Jesus in human form applies to the words of the chapter.  It is only because he came to Earth, to live for us, to die for us, and to rise again, that we can have the assurance of the apostles.

REMINDER: There is NO PRACTICE tonight

There is no practice tonight to allow the church staff and volunteers to rest and spend time with their families.  Use the extra time to dig deeper into Ephesians and enjoy the inspiration offered by the apostle Paul.

BIBLE NEWS: Church uses Star Wars to Teach the Bible

In 1 Corinthians 9:22, Paul said "I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some."  A church in Germany took this to heart and embraced the hype around Star Wars to teach it's congregation about the Bible.

An organist played the "Star Wars" theme music, and the clergy used lightsabers to compare the message in "Star Wars" to the message of the Bible, comparing the biblical struggle between good and evil to the struggle between light and dark in "Star Wars."

Study Tip: We've got the next few weeks off from Bible Quiz Team, but don't allow this to stop your momentum.  Set aside a little time every day to study Ephesians 6, and to review the chapters of Galatians and Ephesians that we've been over so far.  Choose one chapter each day and read it through at least twice.  Celebrate the coming of Jesus by the study of His word.

Study Tip: Next week is our last practice of 2015.  MAKE THE MOST OF IT!  Focus in and study extra-hard so that you don't lose too much over the two weeks we're off for Christmas and New Years.  End well and retain well.  End badly and you may not even remember what Ephesus is when you return "next year".

Study Tip: Christmas is now bearing down upon us, and if you're like me, you are a little bit overwhelmed with everything that has to get done.  How can you fit your studying for Bible Quiz Team into the schedule?  They key is to set clear and simple goals.  Consider creating a to-do list for each day of tasks that must be done before bedtime, and checking them off as you go.  AND make sure "study Bible Quiz Team material" is on that list!  Having a list can help focus you, and keep you from accidentally drifting off into unproductive activities.
