Once upon a time, you'd see the magazine "EFCA Today" hanging out in the lobby of our church. It was a short, glossy publication highlighting the most interesting things going on in the Evangelical Free Church of America. But like many magazines, it found it hard to compete with the internet and thus has moved completely online. EFCAToday.Org still exists and is still a great tool for getting news about other churches in our denomination. Click on over and check it out.

Do you know the rules of Bible Quizzing?
It is almost exactly a month to Districts now. We've been quizzing all year, learning how quizzes work, how quiz meets work, what you need to know to win. But have you ever actually sat down and gone over the rules? Remember that you can always find the official ECA Bible Quizzing rules here. You just may want to review them before Districts, especially if this is your first year!

EFCA adopts a new Statement of Faith
After 50 years, the EFCA just adopted a new statement of faith. The statement of faith is an attempt to distill down the bedrock beliefs of the churches that make up our denomination to their essentials. For example, quizzers may be interested in the section on the Bible.
2. We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises. The statement of faith is worth reading over and comparing against scripture, to see the high regard that the EFCA gives to the Word of God.
